We read it on shirts, signs and baby clothes, “all about me,” it states. This is the same notion that originated with Lucifer. All who express this same sentiment are truly Luciferian at the core, and euphemistically Narcissist. But Narcissism is synonymous with self-worship, which is truly Luciferian as well. The most ironic thing is not that it is stated,
but that there is no outcry against it. Perhaps this is the basis for the Islamic slander of America being called the “Great Satan.” Is this what we as a culture wish to become? Haven’t we had enough of the secular influences that have resulted in a loss of shame, nobility, intrepidity, magnanimity, duty, loyalty and absolute truth? Most do not even know what these words mean. Has Western Christianity become so diluted that it is also laced with the poison that kills the human soul? Have we not eyes to see? Have we not ears to hear? Have we not hearts to care?
These are the questions that wisdom cries out here, in what is called the Western Hemisphere. Take a cross section of what you see in the most-popular Christian magazines, radio and TV programs in the West. What do we see? The majority of focus is self-expression, entertainment, and the arts. We see these periodicals laced with articles on hair-do’s, movies, self-improvement, self-exaltation and glorifying singleness; are we not walking in the same footsteps as our secular counterparts? Have we taken the “all about me” culture and simply relabeled it, and embraced it in Christian expression. Can there be Narcissist Christians? Certainly not! Why are not we not sick to our stomachs with the grotesque violations of God’s sentiments in our midst? Nay, rather, our “christian” culture has drank of the same "wine of fornication" (Rev.14:8), and is engrossed in the same adulteries! Is this what is meant by Jesus when he questioned the existence of faith on earth when he returns (Lk.18:8). Or perhaps the great apostasy that Paul the Apostle spoke of that was coming:
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Tim.3:1-5
Are we so blind we cannot see that this is what is happening in the churches of Western-Christianity? He is speaking about believers who possess the "form of godliness." Is this you? Are you playing a game of pretense? Is your heart filled with constant pre-occupation of lust and all the such like, and you give a pretense of godliness?
Why then is there no men standing to be counted in our midst denouncing the exposure of our women’s nakedness in the public? I am convinced it is because the Christian men, and starting with their leaders, in this country have found themselves enjoying the sin that they themselves aught to be condemning. It would appear that men are not seeking to prohibit the liberty of sin they enjoy. I believe the sad unfortunate truth is the average “Christian” man enjoys lusting after the young, pretty half naked dressed woman. Even worse yet, is this why Christian fathers are not telling their young daughters to cover their nakedness that is being exposed in the name of fashion? Has their lust become incestuous in their minds toward their own children’s nakedness? Is this perhaps why they don’t rebuke their daughters for the lust they enjoy? Or perhaps have these men become so calloused to what aught naturally to produce shame in their mortal consciousness to the spiritual regenerate. For many, it is like the long untold tale of the emperor that was tricked into believing in an invisible garment, which all his subjects gave pretense to not seeing his nakedness for the “fear of man.” Have the Christian parents, for fear of man or their children’s rejection, compromised all decency in allowing their children to dress in the indecent fashion of today, which was the costume of harlots in their own youth? What of the mothers? Have they lost also any sense of dignity or nobility? Has innocence been barred from their conscience as well? We know that a large number of these women who are mothers of teenagers were sexually assaulted themselves. Have these mothers prescribed to the pragmatic doctrine of “if you can’t beat’m join’m?” Has all hope been lost for these mothers, or has their brokenness anytime to mend, while their daughter march to the same pattern of assault that awaits them? Nay rather, we are to be the guardians of our children’s souls. I speak as one who has come from a brutalized past, the cycle can be broken and must be broken. We must gain first a consciousness of sin by the cultivation of an understanding of God’s revealed sentiments in the whole revelation of scripture (OT & NT). It is then that a maturely guided conscience can discern right from wrong (Heb.5:14). Such sayings as “all about me” don’t offend our sensibilities anymore because we are a nation that no longer knows what it believes, there is no point of reference of truth, and I am speaking of the Christian. Apathy toward progressive holiness (santification) is the earmark of Christian thought. The John Wesley’s, Whitfield’s, Finney’s, Jonathon Edward’s, Luther’s, Zwingli’s, Peter Waldo’s, John Knox's and other reformers are relics of the past and any plea to reform is shunned as legalism. It is time to awake to righteousness and sin not, I speak this to our shame, that many profess of Christ don’t have the knowledge of God (1Cor. 15:34).
We have crossed the lines in our freedoms. With the advent of secularism in the West, we have removed all constraints. I place the blame NOT at the feet of the governing authorities, but rather at the feet of the thousands of churches and Christians that have in the last 20 years failed to be united for any cause, and line the same cinemas, seeking the same amusement. We must rise up, and throw of the constraints. But the problem is that we no longer know what to believe in the West. Rationalism has taken his tentacles and wrapped them around the core beliefs of our churches that they have no strength in their doctrines nor preach consequence to sin. Naturalism with it's lying deception has undermined the trustworthiness of scripture, now the western-Christian at large no longer believes in a literal creation, God’s immutability and the punishment of sin!
Western Christianity has destroyed it’s own moral foundations by attempting to embrace a politically correct gospel that would appear rational and scientific to the secular community. Have we rejected all reason, and for what? Is there none with understanding? Don’t we realize that if we change the gospel message to make it more acceptable we have done so at the expense of losing it’s power and influence, and our own souls! Christianity must be the force which reforms culture, but reformation will never take place when there is no desire for it. Western-Christians are endorsing, embracing and celebrating a secular culture that is godless at the core, from philosophy to attire. There will never be a desire for reform while men and women remain drunk upon the wine of their fornications, and enjoy that which should be condemned (Rom.2:1-3). The western-church largely does not appear to desire change, perhaps because they are not sick of their sin. Why give false pretense (form of godliness), too many ministers of the Gospel are living private debauched lives and are not calling to repentance their congregations and laymen because they love their sin more than righteousness (Jn. 3:20). Until we are sick and tired of the sin that has permeated our churches, change will never happen. It is the same story as the “Emperor’s Garment,” everyone pretends they cannot see that their children are stripping themselves of dignity, nobility and shame by exposing more and more of their body parts in our churches and public streets. I am one who is sick and tired of it. Judgment starts in the house of God for those who don’t cry out against it (Ezk. 9:4-6, 1Pt. 4:17). God will certainly hold this generation accountable for the plethora of truth at our disposal and proclaimed (Mk. 6:11). But there is hope, if we would judge ourselves we would not be judged of God (1Cor. 11:31). Culture is NOT the measure of governing truth, God's immutable truths are the standard by which all should govern their lives. Modest discretion is a esteemed biblical principle (Prv.11:22) that must be recaptured.
Cultural preferences are not an expression that is "amoral" (neither moral or immoral). What really is at question in Western-Christianity is the issue of immutability (God’s sentiments or feelings not changing on moral issues) and the sovereignty of God (who calls the shots). If God has expressed his utter hatred (an abomination) of the exposure of our nakedness toward one another, which He did in Lev.18:4-30, and commanded their execution by means of capital punishment of the offenders (Lev.18:29), do we think he has changed his sentiment along the way? Shall he also apologize to Canaan for having them wiped off the earth (Lev.18:24)? Don't misunderstand me, God's methods of dealing with this sin have changed (and this we call the new dispensation of grace), but his sentiments will never change; and by sentiments it is meant the modern term "morality." He would then cease to be immutable, and hence if his sentiments changed, He would no longer be perfect. Because a perfect God could not change his moral sentiments or he would either made and improvement upon himself or morally degenerated. This creates quite a serious dilemma indeed. But rest assured, God has not changed his sentiments, and the doctrine of immutability still stands. It is western-Christianity that has changed their sentiments and is morally degenerating. God has not, or rather cannot or will not change his moral sentiments, but still hates intensely the interchange of lust over the nakedness of public orgy we are facing. If God has refused eternal life to the Men assimilating female characteristics (effeminates [1Cor.6:9]), does one think that woman becoming masculinized are going to escape? Nay rather, the immutable sentiment of God in the blurring of genders distinctions (Dt.22:5) is not an antiquated principle, but stands for time and eternity before the God with whom we have to do (Heb.4:13). Yes, dress is important. God has expressed his clear hatred of it’s violation (Dt.22:5, 1Cor.6:9). Friend, the new dispensation of Grace never displaced the eternal immutable sentiments of God, only his method is dealing with it. It is a logical contradiction for a perfect God to change his sentiments. It is not a matter of legalism, but rather the struggle of the right of sovereignty. We are a rebellious lot and don’t want any telling us what to do, but rest assured we cannot escape the judgment of God. Brand it legalism, I rather be legal for heaven the illegal. This is not the real issue. We have raised a generation of infantile Christians and clergy who are ignorant of scripture and the proper understanding of repentance, grace and salvation. True repentance is the agreement of man that God’s sentiments are true and good, and if indeed good, they are to be his chief ambition. Casting down of every personal sentiment, which is contrary to God’s revealed sentiments. The driving force for modesty is not for the detainment of men’s lust, which is a gross misunderstanding. It is simply a matter of obedience over God’s expressed sentiments (Dt.22:5, 1Tim.2:9) and who has the right to call the shots. More women manifest the rebellion hidden in their hearts over the matter of attire that any other single topic (1Sam. 15:23). Indeed rebellion is at the heart of much of our dismay, here the words of the prophets:
That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: Isaiah 30:9
I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; Isaiah 65:2
But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Jer. 5:23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee …
1Sam.15:23
Was the recent disaster against New Orleans pure coincidence that peddles millions of dollars from gambling and public orgies? I believe God attempted to use 9-11 to get America's attention, and here we are a few short years and what permanent impact was made?
The words of the prophet Jeremiah are still relevant to the race to public nakedness, adultery and fornication that has saturated our cities:
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.
But for all this, the question of sovereignty is at stake. The question is who is really sovereign, God or man? Who has the rights to call the shots. Is it man or God. The secular culture has determined that man is sovereign and retains the right to determine his own definition of morality. Sound familiar? It is the replay of the Garden Of Eden all over again. Man rejecting God's sovereignty to establish his own, "to be as gods" determining their own standards. The most pitiful of all tragedies is that Western-Christianity is largely embracing this godless expression of cultural and calling it "contemporary services," or "seeker sensitive" church. Re-label the bottles all you like, poison is still poison.
I appeal to my fellow Christian men. Rise up and expose the works of darkness (Eph.5:11). Tell the minister of your churches that you are sick of the cultural effusion in your church, and if we don't say something, no one will. The Church must be the restraining force, it is the pillar and the ground of the truth (1Tim.3:15), but if we have lost our saltiness. How shall we be made salty again (Mt.5:13,Lk. 14:34)? If we do nothing, it will be at the jeopardy of our own souls and those of our future generations. A future generation with righteous virtue and insight will rise and condemn our own for doing nothing, unless we are earnest at repent (Rev. 2:16,21,22; 3:3,19). May we not be party to this generation’s sins by simply remaining silent, unless at the end we are found to be blamed for solemn silence.
I am currently completing a book sleighted to be titled "The Immutability Factor" on the topic of Immutablility and it's relation to the Reformation of Christian thought, doctrine and life.
