The principle once in power in the U.S. was of the Judeo-Christian ethic which was once understood and unchallenged. It was the Judeo-Christian ethic which is the foundation of the Common Law, and the Common Law the foundation of the Constitution. Hence, the moral framework of all legislation implicitly had it's origin in the Judeo-Christian ethic which is foundationally an Absolute Moral Law. With the abandonment of the Absolute Moral Law we are like a ship drifting out to sea with no anchor of stability, we are left only to utilitarianism with no absolute moral conclusions. Due to the secular philosopher in the position of power, and now all other persuasions are challenged to define their authoritative position. This is the generation of political correctness and definition of no creed.
Today while Christianity's authority is being challenged and asked to define it's terms no one is challenging the secularist what creed are they affirming!
It has been an exercise in futility explaining why God's word is authoritative rather than challenging the opponent by what authority are they speaking!?! We cannot argue the case of authority without the foundation of authenticity. We must first have a strong apologetic foundation. And again the question still lies with those of the secularist as to what authority is the underpinning of their conclusions. When absolute truth is abandoned their can only be an anarchy of ideas that results in no firm conclusions and in the end the strewn dead bodies that paid the penalty of never learning from the mistakes of history.
